ADL Core design principles

We’re excited to soft-launch Agnostic Data Labs (ADL) - now live and free in public preview at https://app.agnosticdatalabs.com 🔗.

ADL is a metadata management and code generation platform for data teams. Define your data objects, model relationships visually, and generate implementation code for any platform - SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Spark, and more.

What makes it different:

  • Platform-agnostic - your metadata isn’t locked to a single vendor. Generate code for any target using customizable templates.
  • 100% client-side - all processing happens in your browser. Your metadata stays on your machine. No server databases, no data leaving your control.
  • Git-friendly - ADL works with files on disk, so you can store your entire project in a repository and manage it with your existing version control workflow.
  • Visual data lineage - interactive graph diagrams to explore and document your data architecture.
  • Template-driven code generation - ships with ready-made patterns for Data Vault, Persistent Staging Areas, and more. Bring your own templates for anything else.

It’s completely free to use - we’d love for you to try it out and tell us what you think.
